Einoddoleh

Prince Abdolmajid
Mirza (1864 - 1927); the son of Ahmad Mirza was the grandson of
Fathali Shah, cousin and son-in-law of
Mozaffaroddin Shah. He was a prominent figure against
Constitutional Monarchy Movement. After
Naseroddin Shah's death, he became
Tehran governor, then the minister for interior affairs before becoming
Prime Minister in 1903 with the title
Einoddoleh (The eye of the state). He was forced to resign two years later and was sent to suppress the uprising in
Tabriz which he did not succeed. He was appointed Prime Minister twice during
Ahmad Shah's reign for short periods.
