Palangan
پلنگان ، پالنگان
The historical
Palangan Village near Kamyaram city of the
Kurdistan Province of
Iran is a touristic attraction. Houses are built using stones on steep mountains on two sides of a valley. They are built on top of each other and the strange structure gives the feeling of an apartment where the terrace of the house above is actually the roof of its neighbor below, in that; resembling the beautiful
Masouleh Village in
Gilan.
The Tangivar River passes from the middle of the Palangan Village. Palangan means leopards in
Persian; probably the name was attributed because of its scenic, still virgin wild life.
The
Samanid era Palangan Castle is located near the Palangan Village.
