    Ashur uballit 2 was the last Assyrian king (reigned 611/612–609 B.C.) He reigned in the last capital city of Harran from 612 BC to 609 BC, having fled Nineveh during the siege and capture by the Babylonian-Median army in 612 BC, the commander of the Assyrian army in the west crowned himself king in the city of Harran, assuming the name of the founder of the empire, Ashur uballiṭ II. Even with the alliance with Egyptian forces, he could not face both the Babylonians and the Medes. who conquered Carrhae ON Sep, 7, 610 B.C. without destroying the city. Ashur Uballit’s death marked the end of the Assyrian Empire.
