    A high ranking Median soldier who served Dariush The Great and accomplished great tasks such as the suppression of the rebellion in Sagartia in 522 B.C. bringing rebel Sagartian king Tritantaechmes to justice. In Behistun Inscription Dariush the Great states that Sagartian Tritantaechmes revolted against him, proclaiming a relative of Hiakhtar and king of Sagartia. APersian and a Median army was sent forth under General Takhmaspada’s leadership to smite the evolting Sagartian who did not acknowledge Dariush. A battle was fought with Tritantaechmes. With Ahuramazda’s help the Iranian army utterly defeated the rebels. Tritantaechmes was captured and brought to Dariush who ordered to cut off his nose and ears, and put out one eye and was kept bound at his palace entrance for all the people to see him. Afterwards Dariush had him crucified n Arbela.
