Foundation Of Ghaznavi Dynasty

Saboktakin, a leader from Ghaz tribal Turks seized Kabul hence founding the Ghaznavi dynasty who ruled mostly in eastern Iran. The most famous ruler of the Ghaznavi dynasty was Sultan Mahmoud Ghaznavi who served Iranian culture despite the fact that he was not Iranian. He attacked eastern India so many times, encouraging people to accept Islam 9 centuries later on resulting in formation of Pakistan.Mahmoud is said to have been the first Muslim sovereign who assumed the title of Sultan.
