Masood Ghaznavi Appoints New Vezir
After the Vezir of Masood Ghaznavi died ,he appointed Ahmad Abdolsamad Shirazi as the new Vezir and gave him the title Shamsolvozara (The sun of ministers) Masood Ghaznavi could not maintain the heir left to him from his father and was defeated by Seljuk army twice. This mainly happened because he did not take the advice of Shamsolvozara who had warned him not to give more concessions such as land for herds to the Seljuk tribes. But Masood dismissed his worries and tied them to his being Persian, having some feelings against Seljuk who were originally Turkmen. But Seljuks soon became powerful and after defeating Ghaznavi army took Khorasan and continued their conquest towards west until they reached the Mediterranean sea; thus paving the way for creation of the Ottoman empire.
